This is the cover artwork for the first ever novelisation of Guillermo del Toro's film, which he wrote with Cornelia Funke.
 
I created the cover illustration for his book in 2017 and was beside myself with excitement and sense of responsibility. The cover is full of small details from the script, rendered in pen and ink, and my favourite bit - moved to the front cover for the purposes of this print - is the baby mandrake.
