I don't think this piece ever actually did this line by Queens of The Stone Age justice - but I was trying to go for an illusteration that belied the quote's sobering essence. I sold a lot of prints of this one so maybe I was wrong!
 
These original, one-off ink pieces of art were created on a daily basis - one take, no rehearsal, no retouching - from my Inkvent Calendar in December 2021, a countdown to Christmas containing 25 newly-created coloured inks found behind every window. Each piece is signed, dated and embossed.
